First Occupier at Kylna Business Centre
The new office space created on the ground floor of the brand new block of flats at Wood Lane, Hemel Hempstead, called the Kylna Business Centre, has welcomed its first occupier.
The first business to move into the new premises is ‘Think Specialist Recruitment’, an independent support staff agency. Previously located at the nearby Maylands Business Centre, Think SR have relocated to obtain greater office space.
‘I am delighted to have secured our new office at Kylna Business Centre,’ says Chris Jones, Director of Think Specialist Recruitment.
‘Having outgrown our office at Maylands Business Centre where we’ve spent the last few years, we have been looking for our next premises that would allow Think to continue our expansion plans. The office at Kylna Business Centre puts us in the heart of the Maylands and provides us with a fantastic space for our team that is easily accessible to meet with local candidates and businesses.’
The new business premises offer state of the art technical capabilities and are fully furnished and fully serviced to the highest standard. The eight units vary in size, the smallest amply accommodating four work stations and the largest accommodating 12. At the time of going to press, only three units remain.
As we previously reported, this former industrial land has been transformed into 79 homes for social rent combining 42 one-bedroom and 37 two-bedroomed flats with roof top gardens – as well as eight business units and a reception area on the ground floor. The new Kylna Business Centre supplements and supports the successful Maylands Business Centre located nearby.
Kylna Court’s external facades are constructed of non-combustible materials. The building also features two lifts, one of which is constructed as an approved firefighting lift, allowing its use by fire and rescue services in an emergency, and a full sprinkler system – exceeding the current fire regulation requirements.
Lesley Crisp, Business Centre Manager for both Kylna Business Centre and Maylands Business Centre said, ‘We have a waiting list of companies wanting to move into Maylands Business Centre, so we’re delighted to have the additional space afforded by Kylna Court.’
