Female-Founded App flockhere Expands to Berkhamsted
flockhere, the UK’s first app designed to help women working from home find local, laptop-friendly workspaces, is bringing its community-focused mission to Berkhamsted. The app was created by Danielle Wallington, a mother of two from Hertfordshire.
flockhere is on a mission to banish the isolation and loneliness that often come with remote working. What started as an idea to help women move from their kitchen tables into welcoming, community-driven spaces has grown into a crowdfunded success story. After raising £21,000 in just 35 days, Danielle built flockhere to redefine how women connect, collaborate, and work from home.
The platform not only benefits women but also supports the local high street. flockhere partners with hospitality businesses to turn quieter spaces into welcoming daytime work environments, boosting footfall and helping venues generate additional trade.
‘This is about more than just finding a workspace. flockhere is creating hubs for real-life connection while supporting local businesses, empowering women to thrive in business and beyond,’ says Danielle.
The app, which launched it’s first location in St Albans last summer, is the first of its kind in the UK, offering women the ability to book flexible workspaces, join co-working meetups, and build a supportive local network.
Its Berkhamsted launch, happening on Tuesday 28 January 2025, at The Five Bells at Lussmanns, marks the next step in its journey to grow a nationwide community.
